Though the beach bunny and surfing culture is definitely alive and thriving in Malibu, newcomers to the area (and even residents!) often get so caught up in it that they forget all the other attractions that Malibu has to offer. And although Malibu is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, it’s a shame to pass up all the other attractions in and around Malibu.
Once you’ve gotten settled in and enjoyed your new luxury digs a bit, be sure to take some time to explore your area. There are several state parks around the Malibu area, including the local favorite Solstice Canyon Park. The city of Malibu maintains detailed trail maps of most of the parks in the area, so be sure to check out their website before you start off on your hike.
There are also many cultural attractions in Malibu. The Malibu Film Festival is a popular annual event, and many locals volunteer to get sneak peeks at up and coming films and film makers, and the Adamson House is always worth a look.
Finally, be sure to check out your local stores. There is a thriving local movement in Malibu, and you might be surprised to find some familiar faces from the tabloids shopping there with you!
With such a great variety of attractions, you can be sure that you’ll never be bored in Malibu.
