Advertised as a paradise without the air ticket, many say that Paradise Cove really does live up to its name. Though it started out as a humble RV park in the 1950s and 60s, now the area has really grown into a beautiful place to live or vacation. Paradise Cove is one of the slightly more frugal options in the Malibu area, though it’s certainly not cheap, some of the mobile homes in the area are valued at over a 3 million dollars!
The area also has one of the greatest senses of community in Malibu. Though the presence of exclusive luxury homes make the beach a great spot for spotting celebs, the residents are protective of their own, and have even been known to encourage visitors to leave the celebs alone.
Finally, the area has some of the best surfing in all of California. You can see surfers paddling out into the scenic cove whenever the waves get up, especially after recent efforts to clean up the bay made the water much cleaner than it had been in the past.
So although it’s not the uber-isolated real estate that you might find in Malibu Colony or Holmby Hills, if you like your luxury with a touch of California surfer insouciance, then Paradise Cove definitely fits the bill.
