Located just North of Zuma Beach, Broad Beach is a public beach with luxurious homes just steps from the sand while maintaining a more secluded feel. Its beginning is marked by the Malibu West Beach Club, and Broad Beach spans from this marker all the way to Trancas Point, lined by beautiful trees and rock formations. All of this is perched below the grand Santa Monica mountains.
Because the homes are in such close proximity to the water, there are rock piles to prevent beach erosion. This means that at high tide, there is a limited sand area available. However, this helps to keep beach traffic to a minimum, and as the tide recedes, a beautiful sandy beach is left ready to be enjoyed.
For water sports, Broad Beach is a perfect way to slip away from the crowd at Zuma while enjoying similar waves. Whether it is swimming, surfing, or even kiteboarding when the wind comes up, the majority of the action takes place at Zuma, leaving Broad Beach less crowded. As the tide goes down, there are also tide pools that will be exposed at the Northernmost point of Broad Beach.

This neighborhood is also conveniently located near Trancas Country Market. Vintage grocers has a large selection of organic produce, not to mention an amazing hot food bar, bakery, and coffee shop. For beachwear, surfing gear, and everything in between, you can head next door to the locally owned Drill Surf and Skate. Along with these stores, there is also a Starbucks, bank, flower shop, and more.
